Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon's first outing together has turned to be quite successful. Their film Luka Chuppi, which hit the screens on March 1, has been drawing the crowd to the cinema halls since day 1. After taking a massive opening, the romantic comedy soon entered the Rs 50 crore club and now it's on its way to touch the Rs 75 crore mark at the Indian box office. Directed by Laxman Utekar, Luka Chuppi garnered good reviews from the critics and that boosted its performance at the BO to a certain extent. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the microblogging site Twitter a while back and announced the updated figures. He wrote, "#LukaChuppi is trending well on weekdays... [Week 2] Fri 3.15 cr, Sat 5.20 cr, Sun 5.31 cr, Mon 2.05 cr, Tue 2.07 cr [marginally higher than Mon]. Total: ₹ 71.48 cr. India biz."

Further, a report in Boxofficeindia.com noted, "Luka Chuppi held up well on Tuesday with collections similar to Monday. The film is now looking at a week of around 18.50 crore nett and the film should be able to cross 80 crore nett for its lifetime business. Luka Chuppi, which revolves around the subject of live-in relationships, has become Kartik's biggest opener to date. In fact, it's also his highest week 1 grosser till now. Apart from him and Kriti, the rom-com also features the very talented Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi and Vinay Pathak in pivotal roles.
