Kartik Aaryan's latest release Luka Chuppi is faring well at the box office and it's no big surprise. The actor, who is known to have mastered the rom-com genre, has once again impressed the audience with his film and has got cash registers ringing. Co-starring Kriti Sanon in the lead, Luka Chuppi released on March and took a massive opening unlike what the trade experts predicted. Laxman Utekar's directorial venture ended up becoming Kartik's biggest opener by beating the record of his previous romantic comedy Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2. And at the moment, Kartik starrer is holding up well at the BO despite new films arriving in theatres. Luka Chuppi Box Office Collection Day 9: Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon Starrer Rom-Com Rakes in Rs 62.05 Crore.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the microblogging site Twitter just a while back and revealed the updated figures saying, "#LukaChuppi got affected initially by #CaptainMarvel on Fri, but witnessed an upturn on [second] Sat and Sun... Inches closer to ₹ 75 cr... [Week 2] Fri 3.15 cr, Sat 5.20 cr, Sun 5.31 cr [affected due to cricket match]. Total: ₹ 67.36 cr. India biz."

Declaring the film a hit, Adarsh also tweeted, "#LukaChuppi biz at a glance...

Week 1: ₹ 53.70 cr. Weekend 2: ₹ 13.66 cr. Total: ₹ 67.36 cr. India biz. HIT." Though Luka Chuppi released alongside Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar's Sonchiriya, it didn't affect its box office business at all. Luka Chuppi Box Office Collection Day 8: Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon's Film Holds up Well Despite Competition from Captain Marvel, Rakes in Rs 56.74 Crore.

In fact, currently, there are quite a few films running successfully in cinema halls but the fact that Luka Chuppi is still drawing the crowds proves the competition isn't tough enough. Films like Badla, Total Dhamaal, and Captain Marvel are all raking in moolah at the Indian box office and so is Kartik starrer which is obviously good news for the film industry as more the revenue, the better it is, right folks?
