We were the first ones to tell you that Shah Rukh Khan has made a generous contribution to the Kerala flood relief fund. It would have gone anonymous had not Resul Pookutty, the Oscar-winning sound designer from Slumdog Millionaire, tweeted about it. Resul has tweeted, "Thank you so much @iamsrk me personally and the people of Kerala are indebted to you for your generosity and quick action...respect (sic)" To which, Shah Rukh Khan replied, "@resulp Sir, it’s the Duty & Dharma of each one of us to stand by our brothers & sisters in times of need. May Allah bless each & everyone in Kerala." King Khan indeed, at least from the heart!
While it was not sure how much SRK has donated, as per a tweet from Congress politician, Salman Nizami, Shah Rukh Khan has donated to the amount of Rs 5 crore. Using SRK as an example, Nizami took a dig at PayTM founder Vijay Shekhar for only contributing Rs 10K (despite being India's youngest billionaire) and putting out a self-congratulatory tweet about it (that he later deleted over trolling). Check out Nizami's tweet below -
Shahrukh Khan didn't tweet,
Shahrukh Khan didn't brag,
Shahrukh Khan didn't go to media.
Shahrukh Khan donated 5 crore for Kerala flood victims- silently. Something @Paytm head shud learn- Charity is not Business, it's a sign of humanity!
We love you @iamsrk bhai!

In other news, Shah Rukh Khan's welfare organisation Meer Foundation has also contributed Rs 21 lakhs to the Kerala Relief Funds, as per a report in The Quint. Even Shah Rukh Khan's biggest fan club, SRK Universe, has contributed Rs 1 lakh to the Distress Relief Fund.
Least we could do.

His fans have also been helping out during the rehabilitation, helping out in the rescue operations and providing supplies.

It is not just Shah Rukh Khan, even other Bollywood stars have contributed immensely towards the relief funds. Akshay Kumar has given a cheque for Rs 25 lakhs through director Priyadarshan to be given to Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan. Amitabh Bachchan, son Abhishek, Sunny Leone, Sonam Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vidya Balan etc have also contributed generously to the cause. It is these times, that the humanity surely rises over adversity!
