Akshay Kumar's Laxmmi Bomb made headlines when its original director, Raghava Lawrence decided to quit the project. Since the makers failed to value his self-respect, he decided to leave it before making it worse. However, as they say, 'all's well that ends well', the Kanchana director has now issued a statement saying that he will return to the director's chair for this remake. He further clarified that Akshay took enough efforts to understand his feelings and sort out multiple issues he had with the producers of Laxmmi Bomb. He also thanked the actor and producer Shabina Khan for respecting him and expressed his joy for returning as the director of this remake. Earlier Raghava insisted that the makers didn't consult him before sharing Akshay's first look from the project. As a creatively inclined person, he wasn't happy with the first look and according to him, a director's opinion is of the utmost importance. A report in Bollywood Hungama also stated that he was initially unhappy with Kiara Advani's casting. While he wanted Laxmi Rai in this project, he was given an assurance that Deepika Padukone or Katrina Kaif will be roped in for it. Though Kiara's name had upset him, he decided to let go of it.
Nonetheless, we are glad for they were able to sort the issues amicably and the shooting of which will start shortly.
