Laxmmi Bomb is a remake of the Tamil film, Kanchana and it has been in buzz since quite a long time. Before the film’s poster (Hindi version) was released, it was announced that Raghava Lawrence, the one who directed Kanchana, would be helming the Hindi version as well. However, things changed right after the poster of Laxmmi Bomb was released. On May 18 the makers dropped the first look poster and within hours of its release, Raghava announced that he is stepping down from directing the film. On May 18 filmmaker Raghava Lawrence had shared a lengthy note and captioned it, “Dear Friends and Fans..!I In this world, more than money and fame, self-respect is the most important attribute to a person's character. So I have decided to step out of the project,  #Laxmmibomb Hindi remake of Kanchana”. And yesterday (May 26) he shared another post that read he is reconsidering to direct the film if he’s ‘given proper self-respect’ for the job. But as per a report in DNA, a source revealed to the daily, “Akshay is familiar with Farhad’s work, having previously collaborated with him on Entertainment (2014), which he co-directed with his brother Sajid Samji. Also, Farhad was entrusted with directing the upcoming Diwali release, Housefull 4, after Sajid Khan was removed in the wake of the #MeToo Movement. Talks are on with Farhad and given his rapport with and high regard for Akshay, he’s likely to take up the responsibility of helming Laxmmi Bomb.” Well, we’ll have to wait for an official announcement to know who would finally be directing Laxmmi Bomb!
