For the ones who don't know, the characters are connected with each other as Sanon plays the wife of Sadashiv Rao Bhau, who was Bajrao's nephew. Though the characters couldn't be a part of the same project, Panipat, is in a way a sequel of Bajirao Mastani. It follows the story of what happened in the Peshwa empire after the death of Bajirao. Panipat is slated to hit the screens on December 6, 2019.
