Ashutosh Gowariker is all set to direct yet another period drama titled, Panipat which starring Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Kriti Sanon in lead roles. We have seen Arjun Kapoor's look flaunting his moustached look from the film and also his new beefed-up physique. Actress Kriti Sanon recently wrapped up her shooting for the film and had a rather sweet post to share about her experience of working on the film. This is the first time Kriti is teaming up with Arjun for a film and this also happens to be the first period drama of her career.

Kriti was all praises for her co-star Arjun in her Instagram post. She shared a cute picture of the duo where she is seen shutting Arjun's mouth with her hands. Panipat is based on the third battle of Panipat that was fought between Maratha chief Sadashiv Rao Bhau and Afghani invader Ahmad Shah Abdali. Arjun Kapoor, in his period movie, will be taking on the role of Bhau, while Dutt is playing Abdali. Kriti will be playing the role of Arjun's wife, Parvati. CONFIRMED! Veteran actress Padmini Kolhapure is also returning to the big screen with Panipat. Directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar, the film is all set to release on December 6, 2019.
