Over the years, the Indian film industry has witnessed the rise of many great singers, but only a few possess voices that transcend generations. With songs like "Aankhon Mein Teri", "Zara Sa", "Chale Jaise Hawayein", "Labon Ko""Dil Ibaadat", "Alvida", and "Pyaar Ke Pal", it is safe to say that KK is one such singer. A Malayalee by birth, KK went on to become one of the most loved singers in Bollywood. Today (October 25) marks the Bollywood debut of the late singer. On the occasion, Google dedicated a special doodle for KK, which featured an animated picture of the singer holding a mic. Google Doodle Celebrates Soulful Singer Krishnakumar Kunnath Aka KK With Stunning Artwork, Honouring His Bollywood Debut.

KK died of cardiac arrest while performing at a concert at Kolkata's Nazrul Mancha Auditorium on May 31, 2022. The audience at the concert was nearly three times the total capacity of the auditorium. KK was sweating profusely and had even requested a drone to fly over his head so that he could get some air.

Even after suffering from severe uneasiness due to the heat, KK continued to perform at the concert while most of the audience didn't even have an idea of what he was going through. However, what was more painful was that he sang "Pyaar Ke Pal," one of his evergreen songs, which he normally sings before concluding any show. An X (previously Twitter) user even shared a video of him performing the song, completely hiding the extreme discomfort he was going through. He was then rushed out of the auditorium.
