Nikhil Nagesh Bhat's Kill had been hailed by its early reviews as India's goriest action film. So there were concerns that the action-thriller would be released in India hassle-free with a usually strict censor board passing the film without cuts. Kill is produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Guneet Monga's Sikhya Entertainment and stars Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Tanya Maniktala and Ashish Vidhyarthi. It had its world premiere on September 7, 2023, at the famed Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), where the movie was received with rave reviews. 'Kill' Movie Review: Lakshya and Raghav Juyal's Brutal and Gory Thriller Redefines Action Films for Bollywood!
So, if you are wondering how far Hindi cinema can go when it comes to onscreen gore, there is some good news for you. Kill was passed by CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) back in December 2023, with no added cuts. Of course, the film has been rightly certified 'A' (Adults Only), so please do not drag your kids to the theatre if you are planning to watch the movie, unless you plan to mentally scar them for the next few years!

Also, having seen Kill in its press screening, we can vouch that the gory kills in the film have been left intact and not messed with by the censor scissors. The only contentious factor here is that the reported runtime for the film when it was screened during its festival run was 115 minutes, while the runtime of its Indian release, which producer Guneet Monga also confirmed on X, is the same as its global release, is that of 109 minutes. So wondering where the missing minutes went... All cuts are the same - across the world ♥️🔥

Watch the Trailer of 'Kill':
Kill is about an Indian soldier who turns into a saviour for the trapped passengers of a Delhi-bound train when it gets hijacked by a group of violent dacoits. The film has been praised for its innovative action choreography, slick technical values and a fearless attitude when it comes to showing onscreen violence.
