Legendary Bollywood music composer Khayyam breathed his last in Mumbai on Monday August 19. The 92-year-old composer after suffering from a lung infection was admitted to a suburban hospital on August 16. Since Monday evening, his condition had become critical and at around 9.30 pm, the veteran composer breathed his last. Mohammad Zahoor Khayyam Hashmi popularly known as Khayyam in Bollywood has been one of the most legendary composers in Bollywood. Khayyam is known for his work in movies like Kabhi Kabhi and Umrao Jaan. The music composer had also won Padma Bhushan award in 2011.
While fans of the musician are distraught with this news, Bollywood celebrities and significant personalities from the music industry are also saddened by his demise. Several celebrities took to social media to share their condolences and express their grief over the passing of this legend.
