Sonakshi Sinha's newest release Khandaani Shafakhana is already on its way out of most theatres in India. Yes, the film arrived in cinema halls just yesterday but has failed to make any sort impact at the Indian box office. The comedy-drama opened to around 5 % occupancy during morning shows on Friday and ended up raking in approximately Rs 75 lakh by the end of the first day. The scenario was pretty much the same on Saturday too as the film did witness any considerable growth at the ticket windows in India. This means Sona's second outing of the year won't be having any shows in most theatres from Monday onwards. Khandaani Shafakhana Box Office Collection Day 1: Sonakshi Sinha's Comedy-Drama Fares Poorly on Friday, Fails to hit the Rs 1 Crore Mark

As per trade portal Boxofficeindia.com, Khandaani Shafakhana collected around Rs 85 lakh on Saturday, bringing its total two-day collection to Rs 1.60 crore which is very disappointing, to say the least.

Talking about the film's performance, trade analyst Sumit Kadel yesterday even wrote on his Twitter timeline, "#KhandaaniShafakhana & #JudgementallHaiKya shows are getting cancelled left right & center today because of no audience, where #FastandFuriousHobbsandShaw witnesses 30% growth, #Super30 almost 100% growth compared to yesterday." Box Office Report: Sonakshi Sinha Starrer Khandaani Shafakhana Off to a Disastrous Start, Hollywood Action Flick Hobbs & Shaw Witnesses Good Occupancy

Khandaani Shafakhana wasn't a solo release as Hollywood action flick Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw also hit the screens yesterday. Unlike Sonakshi starrer, Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham's movie had a flying start at the domestic box office as it took a double-digit opening on Friday and became the second-highest Hollywood opener of the year after Avengers: Endgame.
