Kesari is touted as one of the biggest Bollywood movies to come out in the first quarter of 2019. Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar's combined power is giving the period war piece a much-needed push among the Bollywood fans and trade watchers. Kesari is based on the 1897 Battle of Saragarhi, where 21 Sikh soldiers of the British-India regiment stood against the 10000-strong Afghani invaders and wrote valiant history with their sacrifices. Anurag Singh, a popular Punjabi film-maker, has directed Kesari, while Parineeti Chopra plays the female lead. Akshay Kumar Reveals the Most Challenging Part of His Role in Kesari (Watch Video).

Kesari's new song is composed by Tanishk Bagchi with lyrics by Kumaar. Romy and Brijesh Sandilya have sung the track, Akshay Kumar's 'head-twisting' step in the song is definitely interesting.

Kesari is scheduled to release on March 21, which also happens to be the second day of Holi. It will be clashing with Vasan Bala's much-appreciated Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota.
