Kesari, PadMan, Toilet: Akshay Kumar Loves Raising His Fist on Movie Posters – View Pics
We are trying to figure out why Akshay Kumar is so repetitive on his movie posters. Join us as we make our case.
Akshay Kumar will be next seen in the war drama Kesari. The first trailer of the film will drop on the internet tomorrow and we are super excited. Akshay released a new poster of the film. The actor is at the forefront looking regal and fierce. He has his one hand up in the air, holding a gun. And, well, that got us thinking. Why does Akshay Kumar have his hand in the air at all times? Does he just not care? No, seriously. The victory fists are sort of like trademark for the posters of Akshay's movies. Get ready to be amazed.
It took us some time, but we were able to go through quite a lot of posters of the movies that Akshay has starred in. And, God, he has starred in a LOT of movies. You'd expect that with those many movies there'd be variety in the movie posters but it seems like filmmakers love making the actor raise his hand in the air. Like he just doesn't care. Sorry. Force of habit.
Case in point, we present to you the poster of Kesari:
Then there is the poster of Padman:
Sing is Bliing poster also featured the actor in the same poser
So, did Sing is King poster...
Maybe he started using this pose because it led him to meet his wife Twinkle Khanna while shooting fro International Khiladi.
Boss, use some other pose maybe?
Toilet - Ek Prem Katha! Well, almost. Don't be so pedantic to say he is only holding a lantern here.
Well, his hand is in the air. This one counts too.
Almost a fist. C'mon.
So, what are your thoughts on this close observation by us? We totally think that Akshay can give this a pose a well-deserved rest and maybe do something else on the posters of his movies. Also, we don't want to see him hold a gun towards the camera. Because we have seen a lot of that as well.
That said, we are eagerly waiting for Kesari. The movie also stars Parineeti Chopra. The first trailer will release tomorrow, while the movie will hit the theatres on March 21.
