Today is the anniversary of the battle, and, thus, makers decided to unveil the posters. Karan Johar, producer of the film, while sharing the posters wrote, "Today we remember the heroes! Circa 1897. 21 SIKHS VS 10000 AFGHANS. THE BRAVEST BATTLE EVER FOUGHT!!!"
Akshay Kumar called the release of the posters "humble tribute to the martyrs of Saragarhi" on his Twitter handle. The movie stars Parineeti Chopra as the female lead, and she also shared the posters. Akshay Kumar's Kesari Sets Gutted In Fire: Akshay and Parineeti Chopra Safe!
While you are thinking about the awesomeness of the posters, do not miss out on the amazing tagline. Aaj meri pagdi bhi Kesari...Jo bahega mera woh lahu bhi Kesari... Aur mera jawaab bhi Kesari” - reads the text on the two posters, and that should pump you up.
Talking about the Battle of Saragarhi, it is only one of the greatest stroies ever in the history of war. On that fateful day, 10,000's of Afghan soldiers attacked Saragarhi. The Indian battalion was too small to hold the fort but they did anyway. Imagine an army of 12 Sikhs against 10, 000 army men. All the perished Indian soldiers were posthumously awarded the Indian Order of Merit, the highest gallantry award of that time.
We cannot wait to watch this story unfold on the big screen. Eagerly waiting for Kesari. Kesari is all set to release during Holi 2019
