Kesari Box Office Collection Day 6: Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra's Film Fares Decently on Tuesday, Mints Over Rs 93 Crore

Akshay Kumar has already delivered 9 films that are a part of the coveted Rs 100 crore club. And now his latest film Kesari is all set to join that list. Yes, the historical war drama, which is directed by Anurag Singh, has been in the theatres for six days and its already set to surpass the Rs 100 crore mark at the Indian box office. With that, Akki will have 10 films to his credit in the Rs 100 crore club. Now that's quite an achievement, no? Kesari, which opened to mixed reviews from the critics, released on March 21 and ended up becoming the biggest opener of 2019 by collecting Rs 21.50 crore on day 1. Kesari Box Office Collection Day 5: Akshay Kumar starrer Witnesses a Sharp Drop on Monday, Rakes in Rs 86.32 Crore.

After a superb opening at the domestic box office, Kesari continued to get cash registers ringing and on Tuesday, the period war drama fared decently after witnessing a slight dip on Monday. As per the trade portal Boxofficeindia.com, Akshay starrer minted more than 7 crore on day 6, bringing its total collection to over Rs 93 crore.

The Boxofficeindia report further stated, "The film held better in areas which had dropped on Monday with the biggest drop of 15% coming in Delhi / UP. The extended first week is looking in the 105 crore nett range which is good but the trend of the film is very average since Sunday.  The film is a success and has done well enough but that second Friday is all important to become a solid HIT. Jointly produced by Karan Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Sunir Khetarpal, Kesari is based on the epic Battle of Saragrahi which was fought in 1897. The film also stars Parineeti Chopra but in a special appearance.
