Akshay Kumar's big-budget film Kesari has been faring well at the box office since its release. After taking a huge opening and entering the coveted Rs 100 crore club, the historical war drama is now holding up well at the ticket windows in India. Though the film is doing decent business and has already surpassed Rs 140 crore mark, it's going to take quite a few more days before it reaches the Rs 150 crore mark at the domestic box office. But with hardly any competition at the BO, it's definite that Kesari will achieve the milestone. Kesari Box Office Collection Day 17: Akshay Kumar's Historical Drama Picks up Pace on Third Saturday, Earns Rs 139.79 Crore

Just a while back, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the microblogging site Twitter and announced the updated figures. He wrote, "#Kesari is decent... Will cross ₹ 145 cr in coming days, but the journey to ₹ 150 cr will depend on its trending in Weekend 4, when it faces new films and shows get reduced further... [Week 3] Fri 1.65 cr, Sat 2.62 cr, Sun 3.23 cr. Total: ₹ 143.02 cr. India biz."

He also tweeted, "#Kesari biz at a glance...Week 1: ₹ 105.86 cr [8 days], Week 2: ₹ 29.66 cr. Weekend 3: ₹ 7.50 cr. Total: ₹ 143.02 cr. India biz." Kesari Box Office Collection Day 16: Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra's Film Fares Well on Friday, Rakes in Rs 137.17 Crore

Further, Boxofficeindia.com noted, "The film had initially scored in Gujarat / Saurashtra as far as the Mumbai circuit was concerned but now the bulk of the collections are coming from Mumbai city, Thane and Pune. The numbers are very good in Mumbai and South for what is essentially a Punjabi film. Even West Bengal is continuing to collect and is now, in fact, better than Total Dhamaal."

Interestingly, Kesari is not only Akshay's 10th film which is a part of the Rs 100 crore club but it has also become his highest grossing Bollywood film barring the Hindi version of 2.0.
