Akshay Kumar's Kesari is continuing its stellar performance at the domestic box office. While the film was going steady during the weekdays, on its third Saturday the period war drama witnessed a good spike in its collection. This means the film should comfortably surpass the 150 crore mark at the box office before ending its theatrical run in India. Directed by Anurag Singh, Kesari also features Parineeti Chopra but not in a full-fledged role. Though the Akki starrer opened to mixed reviews on March 21, the actor's performance was lauded by one and all. Kesari Box Office Collection Day 16: Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra's Film Fares Well on Friday, Rakes in Rs 137.17 Crore.

No wonder, the audiences are still thronging the theaters to watch Akshay in Kesari. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the popular micro-blogging site Twitter a while back and revealed the updates figures. He wrote, "#Kesari picks up speed on [third] Sat... Should score again today [Sun]... The journey thereafter - towards ₹ 150 cr - is dependant on  how it trends on weekdays and Weekend 4... [Week 3] Fri 1.65 cr, Sat 2.62 cr. Total: ₹ 139.79 cr. India biz."

Further, a report in Boxofficeindia.com has also stated, "The film will be the highest grossing film of 2019 beating Uri - The Surgical Strike in East Punjab and could also be top in Rajasthan beating Total Dhamaal. It has this week and one more week to keep the numbers coming but then the biggies will start to come leaving little screen space." Kesari Box Office Collection Day 15: Akshay Kumar's Period War Drama Becomes His Second Highest Grossing Film After 2.0, Rakes in Rs 135.52 Crore

Though John Abraham's much-awaited film Romeo Akbar Walter arrived in cinema halls on Friday, April 5, it seems the espionage thriller hardly gave any competition to Akshay's historical drama. Well, that's good news for team Kesari because now the film can mint good money for without any facing any trouble in the coming days.
