The first trailer of the upcoming disaster-drama Kedarnath was released today by the makers. The movie stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan in the lead roles. The latest footage has left us immensely impressed by the scale and the grandeur of the film. After hinting at the story of the star-crossed lovers, the trailer of Kedarnath switches to tragedy depicted in the film - Kedarnath floods of 2013.
The scenes in Kedarnath trailer are spine-chilling, to say the least. The depiction of the day when nature struck back at humanity is something that will stay with the viewers for a long time. Amidst the scenes of the destruction, there is one that caught my attention. Something that I feel is brilliant, even if it is depicting a tragedy. As the trailer is closing on its end, we see a shot of the Kedarnath temple engulfed in flood waters.
A huge wave of water rises from right behind the temple. As the water forms a barrel over the temple's roof, it forms the shape of a snake's head. The one like around Lord Shiva's neck. A symbolism of Lord Shiva's wrath maybe?
Or maybe it symbolises Lord Shiva saving the temple from the destruction like this?
I was totally blown away by this intricate symbolism in the trailer. I have just watched the trailer multiple times to see this shot again and again. Did you notice the shot? What do you think it means? What do you make of the symbolism? Tweet to us at @Latestly. Watch the trailer of Kedarnath once again:
Kedarnath directed by Abhishek Kapoor releases on December 7. The movie is a production venture of RSVP and Guy in the Sky.
