Sara Ali Khan-Sushant Singh Rajout starrer Kedarnath has been in the negative spotlight through out several months. The ugly public spat between director Abhishek Kapoor and producer Prernaa Arora of KriArj Entertainment has left the project in an uncertain space. Abhishek Kapoor found a new financer in Ronnie Screwvala and the film was back on track. Now, a fresh trouble arrives at their doorstep. Prernaa has reportedly sold out the film to three producers without any intimation to the director. Following this, he filed complaint against her and her production house, reports midday.

As reported in the tabloid, three companies — Vashu Bhagnani's Pooja Entertainment, Gothic Entertainment, and Kolkata-based Padma Ispat Private Limited —informed Screwvala that they own the Indian theatrical rights of Kedarnath. The trio sent the copies of the legal agreement stating that Prernaa sold out the film. Also, co-producers Ekta Kapoor and Bhushan Kumar were kept unaware about these developments. Kapoor was quoted saying, “"It's shocking to know that there are people in the business who think it's okay to sell assets that do not belong to them."

Meanwhile, Aroraa said, “Everything has now been sold to Ronnie Screwvala. But at no point did I or KriArj know about it [the sale] till we read it in the papers. I only had got a confirmation from T-Series and an NOC letter from them saying that Abhishek will return the Rs 15 crore before the shoot. Regarding Vashuji, we had a long-term deal to make films together, but I had no time to inform him about the termination of the Kedarnath deal. Vashuji [must have] read it in the papers too, and approached Ronnie accordingly. I should have officially terminated my paperwork with Vashuji. Where Gothic and Padma Ispat are concerned, they have nothing to do with the film. This will be proved in the court."

On the other hand, Vashu Bhagnani maintains that the rights now rest with him. He also states that Screwvala cannot release the film without his consent and paying him money. We hope Sara and Sushant wind up the project peacefully!
