Despite getting embroiled in controversies and receiving a lukewarm response from the critics, Abhishek Kapoor’s latest directorial venture Kedarnath is holding up well at the box office. The film, which stars Sara Ali Khan opposite Sushant Singh Rajput, released on Friday (December 7) and witnessed a good opening. Since then the love story has minted good money on Indian turf. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the popular microblogging site Twitter a while back and shared the updated box office figures. He wrote, ‘#Kedarnath passes the crucial Monday test... Remain rock-steady... Fri 7.25 cr, Sat 9.75 cr, Sun 10.75 cr, Mon 4.25 cr. Total: ₹ 32 cr. Interestingly, yesterday Abhishek Kapoor also took to Twitter and thanked everyone for liking his film. The talented filmmaker wrote, ‘Thank u everyone for showing #kedarnath such immense love over the weekend..the entire team is elated. Have a great week #jaibholenath 🙏 @RonnieScrewvala @pragyadav_ @itsSSR #saraalikhan @RSVPMovies @gitspictures.’

Since there is no big release this week, Sara’s debut film indeed has a good chance of sustaining itself at the ticket windows. However, collections of Kedarnath will suffer once Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif-starrer Zero releases on December 21.

Coming to Sara, the talented actress has another release slated for this month. She will be seen opposite Ranveer Singh in Rohit Shetty’s much-awaited action drama Simmba which releases on December 28.
