Actress Katrina Kaif is making it to the headlines for her portrayal of a very sexy Bollywood star Babita Kumari, in her next release Zero. Helmed by Aanand L. Rai, Zero also stars Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles and will release on December 21. And no prizes for guessing, the audience is expecting to see the same magic from the trio, as they did in their earlier outing Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Zero: The Runtime of Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma's Film REVEALED!

And while praises rain in on Kat every day for her trailer and for her songs in the film, playing the character has not come easily to the actress. Prior to the release of Zero, Katrina confessed in an interview to Mid-Day that playing Babita Kumari took a toll on her. Shah Rukh Khan Reveals How They Handled Katrina Kaif’s Hotness on the Sets of Zero Song Husn Parcham

Said Katrina, "Babita Kumari is an actress, who is going through a dark and depressing phase, but she is not a terrible human being. Her relationship is over, her career is not doing well and she has no focus in life. She feels dejected and is vulnerable."

Elaborating more on her complex character, the actress continued, "Playing her took a toll on me. I would always look for respite from the character. Every time there was a break in the schedule [by picking up something light and frothy], getting back to the character was tough. It was in a dark space."

However, Katrina reveals that it was director Aanand L Rai, who helped her understand and portray Babita. "Aanand Sir had given me clarity on my role, without which, I would have been misguided and lost easily. He would sit with me for days and weeks before the shoot and try to understand me as a person. Babita is exactly the opposite of everything I am as a person. If Katrina Kaif will avoid someone at a party, Babita Kumari would go right up to the person and say something obnoxious. She wouldn't ask for the audience's sympathy."

Now as per the latest update by trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Zero has been passed by the British Board of Film Classification. It has been rated 12A. Moreover, we also found that the runtime of the film will be a little more than two hours forty minutes. That means, Zero is packed with enough drama and humour, and hopefully won't lag.
