While Ranbir Kapoor, who's on great terms with ex-girlfriend, Deepika Padukone ditched her reception bash, a former rival, Katrina Kaif made her presence felt. Yes, Deepika Padukone was very loud and clear about not inviting Kat to her wedding party and she revealed the same during her Vogue BFF episode with sister, Anisha Padukone. Reason? Of course, the relationship that RK Jr shared with both of them. The Padmaavat actress apparently caught him cheating on her and sources close to her blame Katrina for their breakup. However, Deepika was keen on letting bygones be bygones and she had no qualms in inviting her then rival and now a friend to her special evening. Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh Wedding: Katrina Kaif Comments on Couple's First Pictures.

Earlier it was reported that Ranveer Singh was the one who invited Katrina for his reception party but the Bharat actress insists the invitation was from both of them. In her conversation with Pinkvilla, when she was asked to react on this new budding friendship, she said, "I was invited to the reception by them for sure and the instinct in my heart was to go, I felt I would like to go. There was no other thought behind it and we had a very nice, warm happy night."

Insiders present at the party reveal how the girls were initially very formal with each other but they hugged and danced together after Ranveer got them on the dance floor. Reacting to this she said, "There are some moments which are too special and private to talk about and not meant for a public platform. What’s important was that it was a really warm and fun evening and we all had a good time. There was a lot of love and we all danced and ate and had great fun! I was there till the wee hours of the morning.” Katrina Kaif Was Ready to Settle Down a Few Years Back but Things Didn’t Work Out the Way She Had Expected.

Well, certainly the ladies are in good books of each other and their Instagram update is a proof of it. Deepika originally extended the olive branch by following Kat on Instagram and the latter reciprocated in a similar manner. Guess, the catfight is no big term these days as BFF has some more impact.
