We have informed you how shocked was the ad world when this came to light: A pristine Kareena Kapoor Khan was seen employing her starry aura to sell a suspicious product. A closer inspection revealed that Bebo was originally seen endorsing BBlunt. But a suspicious looking box replaces the original product. Clearly this was a case of plagiarism. BbBlunt suddenly becomes a certain Olivia. It was as disgusting to look at as it was ethically circumvented.
And now we hear that the Masakatiya Industries Private Limited (Olivia cosmetics) has been slapped with a legal notice. According to Campaign, business head Sunil Kataria at Godrej Consumer Products said,
“We wish to clarify that GCPL has no business relationship with Maskatiya Industries Private Limited (Olivia cosmetics). It has been brought to our notice recently that Maskatiya Industries have copied the 'BBlunt Salon secret High Shine Crème hair colour' TVC. This seems to be a direct case of plagiarism and Godrej Consumer Products Limited condemn this act which infringes our copyrights over the said TVC. We shall be taking appropriate action against the same.”
The original ad has been done by Creativeland Asia agency in India. It is really shocking, how Olivia Intense has copied the entire commercial, including the celebrity who was roped in by BBLUNT in 2016. The only change which once can notice in the new commercial, is the replacement of the BBLUNT bottles with the Olivia Intense bottles
