Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker, Shikha Talsania and Sonam Kapoor starrer Veere Di Wedding is getting rave response. The fans are giving positive response to the girl gang based movie. After a lot of positive word of mouth for the film, it collected over Rs 50 crore and this has apparently inspired the makers to think about it sequel already! As reported in Midday, VDW makers might start with the second installment of the film by next year, only after developing a strong plot for the same cast.

A source told the tabloid, "Ekta and Rhea may come from different schools of cinema, but have always aimed to make films that are distinctive, and become a talking point. With the success of Veere Di Wedding, several people from the industry have been encouraging them to work on a sequel since the film's concept and characters received so much love from the audience. At the dinner, the two had a discussion about the story lending itself to a franchise."

The insider further added, "The story will require at least a year's work. Once that has been finalised, they will look at getting bulk dates from the four actors. Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor are keen to start working on the second part."

Meanwhile, the spokesperson of the film also confirmed the news saying that the sequel has been getting discussed but it is too early to talk about it. Well, with this kind of response, we are sure the fans will be only thrilled to have one more bold and beautiful movie, may be, VDW 2!
