There is a slight possibility that Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor starrer Veere Di Wedding might end up getting an A certificate from the Censor Board. According to a report in a leading daily, producers Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor are devising ways to escape the Censor Board’s scissors. Keeping in mind the character’s tone, there are a couple of sexual innuendos in the film. A source was quoted by a leading daily saying, “The movie revolves around four girls who belong to this generation. In keeping with the characters’ tone, the film has a bit expletives and sexual innuendos. The makers themselves came to a consensus that it isn’t exactly meant for kids, but is aimed at college goers and upwards. To avoid any disagreement with the CBFC, it was decided that the film be pitched for an adult certificate.”
The source further explained that Shashank and the makers are not too keen to change the slant of the story and neither are they willing to fight the CBFC.
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor’s much awaited film Veere Di Wedding is in the ‘watch-list’ of many of the fans. The beautiful shaadi squad impressed everybody with their fashionable desi looks on the first poster. The lively flick directed by Shashanka Ghosh has revised the release date pushing the film to June 1, 2018. It has been a long time since we got an out- and- out girl film with a dose of entertainment sans much of a social drama. Veere Di Wedding promises us one such story.
