Kareena Kapoor Khan appeared on the mega screen after a long and her fans are only glad with her performance in Veere Di Wedding. Her role as 'Kalindi Puri' is receiving appreciation all over. However, off screen, Bebo was recently trolled for her statement on feminism. For the uninitiated, during the promotions of VDW, Kareena stated, 'I am not a feminist; I believe in equality.' Twitterati schooled her on this take with their own versions of feminism. During a chat with Hindustan Times, the 37-year-old actress asked a valid question saying, 'What was wrong in the feminism statement?'

She added, "What was wrong in the feminism statement? I’d still say that I believe in equality and there’s nothing wrong in it. Most people think that feminism means male bashing and it makes women superior. That’s what they’ve always meant, otherwise why would they be fighting on Twitter every time."

Kareena also clarified that she supports feminism but does not liked to be labelled as something for the same. She added, "However, I would also like to add, that in a way, I am a bit of a feminist but I am a feminist in the right way. I’m not trying to say that men are lesser, because they are not. I believe it takes two to tango in any kind of a relationship. But then, main kuch bhi statement bolun, trolls toh shuru ho jate hain (whatever I say, trolling will start), especially when it comes to feminism."

Well, we don't blame Kareena for being furious. It is a common phenomena on the social media now a days, where the celebs' statements are misconstrued. These misconstrued statements are then trolled by the fans. Now that Bollywood's begum has clarified everything, the trolls might realize that they have no power over the actress anyway.
