If you think trouble is over for Karan Johar after apologizing for the whole Hardik Pandya-KL Rahul fiasco on Koffee With Karan 6, then you're wrong. Just after the whole controversy was dying a slow death on its own, here are new problematic statements by the director that have landed him in a fresh controversy. KJo recently justified the climax of his directorial, 'Ae Dil hai Mushkil' saying that Alizeh (Anushka Sharma) had to die because she did not reciprocate feelings to Ayan (Ranbir Kapoor). Karan Johar is 'Grateful' as BCCI Lifts Ban on Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul After KWK 6 Fiasco, Says They Deserve a Second Chance (Watch Video).

In an interview with Huffington Post, the producer/maker said, "Yes, the last track met with many polarised responses and rightfully so, but I was like she (Anushka Sharma’s character Alizeh who doesn’t reciprocate Ayan’s feelings) didn’t love him, she has to die. I wrote this character. He loved her so crazily. She could’ve loved him back, why couldn’t she? So she got cancer and she died."

Well, he did not stop here. He even further went on justifying asking, "How is it problematic? He was not inappropriate with her." Speaking more on it and relating this to his own personal experience in love, he added, "But I am not going to be apologetic about his relentlessness and his love, because he loved her even after she was gone. He never stopped loving her. That’s the way I feel about the big loves of my life. I will never stop loving them and I may not go so relentless in my pursuit of love but I believe Ayan was a lover."

He also ironically said, "I have issues with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, Student of the Year, My Name is Khan, all of them but about Ae Dil, I wouldn’t change a thing." Will Karan Johar Ever Work With Kangana Ranaut in Future? The Filmmaker Answers...

Well, we wonder whether the concept of consent has really seeped into people's minds or not. It's one thing to showcase your story and another to justifying it to the core. Clearly, the statements had to receive backlash by the fans and we wonder what Alizeh a.k.a Anushka Sharma has to say on this now!
