Even before Vijay Deverakonda's next film, Dear Comrade, could release in theatres, Bollywood mogul, Karan Johar, has announced its remake. Well, given the success of the Kabir Singh, this move totally makes sense. The announcement came today on KJo's Twitter handle. The filmmaker also posted a picture with Vijay. In the post, he wrote that he had the pleasure of watching Dear Comrade before anyone else. "The film is exceptionally moving and leaves you with such an important and relevant message! Strongly directed by debut director Bharat Kamma," Karan wrote, in the post.
Speaking of Kabir Singh, the movie is the remake of Vijay's Arjun Reddy. The Hindi remake stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead role and has raked in close to Rs 300 crore at the box office, making it the actor's biggest solo hit to date. We wonder if Shahid Kapoor would be cast again in the new remake. Kiara Advani Says She Is Nothing like Preeti from Kabir Singh in a Heartfelt Note.

Also, the chances of the role of the heroine going to Janhvi Kapoor or Kiara Advani are really high. Both the actresses are Dharma Productions' favourite. Kiara starred in Kabir Singh and did a stellar job. Janhvi, on many many occasions, has confessed her admiration for Vijay. So, her casting in the Dear Comrade remake is also possible. The original stars Rashmika Mandana as the female lead.
