A promotional poster of Judgementall Hai Kya has been accused of plagiarism by a visual artist. Flora Borsi took to her social media pages and called out the movie for lifting the concept of a poster from her work.
As if Judgementall Hai Kya had not courted enough controversies already, another one has come knocking on its door. One of the posters of the Kangana Ranaut starrer comedy-thriller has been accused of plagiarism. In one of the promotional posters, Kangana's face is half-covered with a cat, while Rajkummar Rao's face is half-covered with a mouse. An indication to the cat and mouse chase which this movie is all about. But the concept of the poster has been accused of being lifted from work by an artist named, Flora Borsi. Flora posted a picture of her work side-by-side to the movie poster and it is tough not to see the similarities. While sharing the post on her Facebook page, Flora wrote, "They didn't ask for any permission nor reached me out. The similarities might be a wild co-incidence as great minds think alike. But, given the history of Bollywood copying content from wherever possible, be it posters, music, or even full-fledged movies, it is tough to give Judgementall Hai Kya the benefit of the doubt.
Judgementall Hai Kya opened in theatres on July 26. Majority of the critics have praised the movie, which has been backed by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Productions. Written by Kanika Dhillon, the movie has been directed by Prakash Kovelamudi.
