Kangana Ranaut is known to drop truth bombs from time to time. The actress in her recent interviews spoke about several things including how Bollywood actors must be more vocal and so on. The actress is currently prepping for Panga and has also signed and the Jayalalitha biopic. Kangana has expressed that she wants to work on films speaking about women empowerment and hence has even taken an exit from Anurag Basu's upcoming film Imali.
Director Anurag Basu and Kangana go way back considering he was the one who launched her in Bollywood with Gangster. Kangana later too collaborated with him on two other films including Life In A Metro and Kites. Imali was supposed to be their latest film together but the actress has now walked out of it stating reasons that she may soon be announcing her own directorial. In a recent interaction with DNA, Kangana confirmed that she is looking forward to direct a film now because of the recent success of her film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Kangana even mentioned that Imali is a beautiful love story but the actress is currently focussing on her directorial. Imali stars Rajkummar Rao as the male lead. After Queen, Rajkummar and Kangana will once again be seen together in Mental Hai Kya.
Considering that Kangana mentioned her own directorial, we wonder if this will be her biopic. In February, the actress mentioned that she will be directing her own biopic which will revolve around her journey and will be written by Manikarnika writer K V Vijayendra Prasad. Speaking about her biopic Kangana stated that while she won't be taking any particular names, the actress will be showing how a girl from the mountains makes it big in Bollywood and even goes on to win a National Award.
