Kangana Ranaut is mighty impressed with her directorial debut, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. And when veterans like Waheeda Rahman sing her praises, it's only natural to boost her confidence. And while we know that she's a lone wolf and needs no Godfather to survive in the industry, Kangana is determined to direct a movie on her struggles and narrate a tale that she believes is fearless. In her recent statement, the Queen actress confirmed the big news and revealed details about the same project that will go on floors in October-November this year. Kangana Ranaut Vs Bollywood: The Big Spat We Can't Wrap Our Head Around.
Speaking about the biopic, Kangana said, "My own story is the subject of my next directorial. But it is not propaganda film with characters who are starkly black and white, rather it is a sincere, heartfelt account of my journey so far with plenty of lighter moments." Baahubali and Manikarnika writer, KV Vijayendra, will write the script for her next and she believes he's a wise choice. According to her, the writer insisted her around 3 months back to allow him to write a film based on her life. "I was nervous and wary initially, but then, given his stature and the fact that I trust him implicitly, I gave Vijayendra sir the go-ahead on the project," she further added.
However, Kangana maintains that she won't name anyone in the biopic. Anyone who has had differences with her in the past won't be named in the movie. "How can I show my journey without people, I can't be walking alone. But we will not be taking any names. The idea is to project me and my life with all its highs and lows. In the end, it is the story of an achiever, a girl from the mountains who came into Bollywood without any connections in the industry or even a godfather, and went on to carve a niche for herself against all odds," she added.
