Kangana Ranaut has recently wrapped up the shoot of Panga in Delhi which is being helmed by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari. The actress has been prepping for the film for a long time and we had earlier spotted her during her Kabaddi practice sessions. In the meantime, we have known for a while that Kangana will be working on her directorial next. In fact, the Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi actress recently walked out of a project with Anurag Basu to work on her directorial. While there was buzz that Kangana's next could be her own biopic, we have now got a few more details about her next.
In an interview with DNA recently, the actress opened up about her next directorial saying, “I’m on the verge of announcing my next directorial venture. It’s an action film — an epic drama. It has taken a lot of my time. Currently, we are putting everything in order, but we have locked the script. Not just this, the film is also going to be based on a real-life story. Looks like we will be getting to see the first look much sooner than we expected. It is with the first look that we will get to see what the film is all about. Given that Kangana pulled off action pretty well in Manikarnika, it seems she will be impressive in her next directorial too. . Apart from Panga and her directorial, Kangana will also be essaying the role of former Tamil Nadu CM and veteran actress Jayalalitha in her biopic. The film has been titled Thalaivi in Tamil and Jaya in Hindi. The bilingual film directed will be helmed by A.L. Vijay. She also has Mental Hai Kya along with Rajkummar Rao that will be hitting the screens this year.
