Kalank trailer just dropped and it is nothing that we imagined. Just a few days far from the release date, the Abhishek Varman directorial had set high expectations for the fans themselves. The teaser already got the fans to compare it with Sanjay Leela Bhansali films, but the trailer is sadly even more disappointing! Twitterati is already giving opinions on Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan’s chemistry in the flick but unfortunately not in a flattering way. The duo recreated the iconic train scene from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) and its got trolled from the fans! Read Kalank Trailer Review.
The makers tried too hard to make the film a masterpiece and this scene is proof. Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol had taken the climax scene from DDLJ to another level. The scene was pivotal as it reunited the onscreen characters Raj and Simran, easily making the fans root for them.
But Kalank not only used this popular scene (which Dharma also used in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani for Ranbir and Deepika), but also added a love triangle twist to it. While we just thought that they are trying to pay a tribute sort of a thing to Raj-Simran (which again Dharma paid in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania), Aditya stole the limelight. The scene where Aditya grabs Alia’s hand while she is falling off the train, makes us root for Aditya more than Alia and Varun! Definitely, the fans were not much impressed by this attempt. On the other hand, the makers insisted that it has nothing to do with DDLJ! Check out some tweets.

According to the timeline, DDLJ has copied this scene from Kalank. Not the other way round. #KalankTrailer pic.twitter.com/Ljmgc2CgIy

All in all, the trailer did live up to the grandeur aspect, but it looked highly inspired from other films as well. The flick will release on April 17th. What is your take on it?
