The trailer of Karan Johar's next, Kalank, is out finally and it's a visual delight. Starring Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha, it's a love story set during the partition time. While a lot has been said and discussed about Karan's dream project, words won't really justify its grandeur and the lavish scale on which it has been mounted. Yes, the trailer did remind us of several Bollywood movies but let's put that aside and focus on what the aam janta is thinking about it. Twitterati is currently divided into two different sections and it's difficult to come to any conclusion. Some are busy showering it with heaps of praises and others are massively disappointed with its storyline or simply the lack of Madhuri and Sanjay. Check out some of the Twitter reactions right below and try to understand if K Jo was successful in getting the right emotions this time. Some good words for Sonakshi
I was obviously expecting Alia to look good in the #KalankTrailer but Sonakshi has totally surprised me.

And some more
#KalankTrailer Failed to impress me.
May be, may be I will not opt for the first day first show. I will let reviews come in and then decide if I have to watch it in theater or wait for it's digital release on OTT platform.

Great job she says
Which era is #Kalank set in? I can’t fathom. Too extravagant for partition time. Nicely cut trailer though. ARK’s character left most impact on me. Madhuri’s tabahi dialogue had so much depth. Alia seems kinda misfit for this. Varun and Kunal both looked menacing. #KalankTrailer

Here comes the political twist
Once again touched the most heated topic interreligious marriage.
I really don't understand why bollywood is so interested in this topic.Releasing on election time so might escape from protest.Unrealistic love story and definitely #Endgame will affect it's business

The movie looks more of a love triangle set during the partition era. With such gorgeous sets and Alia - Varun's crackling chemistry, we are mighty impressed with this new offering though we wanted to see more of Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt. Let's hope the movie has lots to offer when it comes to these powerhouses of talent.
