Kalank: The IMDB Score of Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt’s Film Is LOWER Than Salman Khan’s Race 3 and Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan!

Dharma Productions' latest film, Kalank, turned out to be the highest opening day grosser of 2019. Releasing on a Wednesday, the movie had collected Rs 21.6 crore on its first day. With an extended weekend, there was a high chance for Kalank to score more than Rs 100 score by Sunday. But there is also a high possibility that this might not happen. Also, that Kalank could turn out the rare high-profile flop that Karan Johar's production house may see in years. Kalank: Funny Memes on Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan's Period Saga are More Interesting to Read than the Film's Reviews.

Why do we say so? For, Kalank has been getting mixed to poor reviews, that had criticisms for its slow pace, and meandering premise. Even the fan reactions are something not to crow about for the makers, with memes and jokes being made on the film.

What's even more shocking is that Kalank has got a very low rating on IMDB with a rating of 2.5. Kalank Movie Review: Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Kunal Kemmu Shine in a Beautifully-Framed but Dull Love Saga Set During the Partition.

This makes the movie's score even lesser than that of Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan ("4.0"), Salman Khan's Race 3 ("3.1") and Akshay Kumar's Tees Maar Khan ("3.3").

Of course, there is a good chance the IMDB score for Kalank might go up, with the fans of its lead stars doing their best to put some better ratings. Also, it is unfair since Kalank is not a bad movie, as per the writer. It has some lovely frames, good performances and a decent storyline, which is mostly hampered by an over-stretched screenplay and a dis-engaging romantic plot.  Kalank: Varun Dhawan’s Fight Scene With a Badly CGI-Ed Bull Leave Fans in Splits – Read Tweets.
