Alia Bhatt-Varun Dhawan’s Kalank Is Inspired by the Book What the Body Remembers?
According to a report published in Filmfare, a source has revealed that the sequel can be lead by Kalank star Varun Dhawan. The actor is very much keen to work in a new realm and explore new boundaries. As quoted by the source, "Varun has met the makers several times and is trying to work things around. However, the makers are in a dilemma as they share a good bond with Rajkummar, the hero of Stree."
We have seen Varun perform some amazing comedy films including Judwaa 2, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Main Tera Hero, among others, but this film will mark his first horror-comedy.
Talking about Stree, Rajkummar was widely lauded for his performance and it would be a difficult task for Varun, to match up to the perfection level of the Newton actor. However, no official statement has been released by the makers and we only hope that the second part proves to be another roller-coaster of laughter riot.
