Here comes the picture of the day! While Karan Johar's Kalank is due for release next month, we aren't really aware of its subject. Starring Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles, it's essentially a family drama set in the 40s. Yes, we did hear about the Badlapur actor's choc-a-bloc schedule and how he'd fly down to India from London for just a day to reveal the first look from his next release. We anticipated if the makers will make us wait till tomorrow to drop some crucial info about this period drama but guess, they had some different plans this entire time. Karan Johar took to his Instagram account to share first look from his big multi-starrer and we believe that's Alia in it. A beautiful vintage picture clicked in a lake full of lotuses is giving us all the right feels. Set in the '40s, the movie was envisioned by late Yash Johar and his son, Karan tried to bring it into a reality. Helmed by Abhishek Varman, Kalank is a beautiful emotional story that's bound to leave you teary-eyed. While this new click is enough to make us eager beaver, we can't help but wonder about the journey he hinted that starts tomorrow. Earlier in his conversation with ZoomTV.com, Sanjay Dutt had revealed some interesting plot details about his next. When asked what Kalank is all about, he simply said, “It's an emotional film about two families. Basically, it's more of a drama. It's more about values and characters and it's an interesting film.” The movie is slated to hit the screens on April 19.
