Real does imitate reel at times even though it is rare. Remember Ali? The firebrand young cricketer Sushant Singh Rajput trains and saves with his life in Kai Po Che!? Digvijay Deshmukh is now part of Mumbai Indians after the side picked him up for Rs 20 lakh at the IPL auction held recently. Chetan Bhagat obviously felt really overwhelmed about this development and wrote, "There is magic in life sometimes. The boy who acted as Ali, the gifted cricketer in Kai Po Che (The 3 mistakes of my life), was just selected by the Mumbai Indians to play the IPL in real life. Congratulations Digvijay Deshmukh!" Chetan Bhagat Trolled for Poor Knowledge of Tennis
Sushant always knew he has talent in the film and it sees Deshmukh has strengthened his belief with that. We know we are getting too emotional about it but such things don't happen often. We weren't even aware the kid Ali had cricket ambitions and not a Bollywood one.

Well, it will be interesting to see if Ali or Digvijay does manage to hit similar shots for real as it was shown in the film.
