Veteran actor Kader Khan passed away at the age of 81 at a hospital in Canada on Tuesday morning. After reportedly suffering from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, a degenerative disease that causes loss of balance, difficulty in walking and dementia, the actor had been in hospital. Bollywood celebrities are mourning his death. Govinda, who had worked with Kader Khan in several films, took to the photo-sharing app to offer his condolences for the veteran actor. Kader Khan was an integral part of David Dhawan and Govinda collaborations in the 1990s, delivering blockbusters like Coolie No. 1, Saajan Chale Sasural, Hero No. 1, Dulhe Raja and Haseena Maan Jaayegi.

Sharing a still from one of the their films' behind-the-scenes, Govinda wrote on Instagram, "RIP Kader Khan Saab. He was not just my "ustaad" but a father figure to me, his midas touch and his aura made every actor he worked with a superstar. The entire film industry and my family deeply mourns this loss and we cannot express the sorrow in words. I pray to God that may his soul rest in peace. #ripkaderkhansaab"
