"Kabir Singh is a wreck. A brilliant wreck that is. He can perform an operation with ease. But he can't really take care of his own life. A person with huge temper issues, Kabir's life had taken a downward spiral after his breakup with the love of his life, Preethi. Kabir Singh, till now, is quite a faithful adaptation of the original film, with a few adjustments made for the audiences in the North. Since it is a faithful adaptation, Kabir Singh also brings up every flaw of his protagonist and his problematic love story. It is not an easy watch for viewers who have been habituated to vanilla romance. It is difficult to connect with Kabir as a character, because of his violent, misogynistic and aggressive nature. But Shahid Kapoor makes the character work so well. Kiara Advani is quite muted in her initial portions but she comes on her own in the scenes ahead.
