Shahid Kapoor is all set to don the rugged, drunk, brooding hero avatar in his upcoming film, Kabir Singh. The film is an official remake of the popular Telugu film Arjun Reddy starring Vijay Deverakonda in a lead role. While Shahid's fans were left impressed with the teaser of the film and now the trailer of the film is all set to release in May. A new poster of the film has been released by the makers, which shows Shahid in his bearded avatar. While we see him and Kiara Advani in the background. Vijay's look in Arjun Reddy had drawn a lot of female attention and it certainly looks like Shahid is going to have a similar experience. Shahid's 'bad boy' look is being loved by girls so far and it seems like the trailer will definitely get some crazy reactions.

Considering the success of Arjun Reddy, it is certainly not going to be easy to make Kabir Singh a success. Speaking about the remake earlier Shahid said, "Shahid said the makers of Kabir Singh tried to retain the essence of Arjun Reddy but also came up with something new. He said: "We have shifted the film to Delhi and Mumbai. We have changed the backdrop. Therefore, my character's family has changed and his upbringing has changed but we have tried to retain the essence and fundamental energy of the character."
