After creating great pre-release buzz and garnering a good response in the advance booking department, Shahid Kapoor's latest release Kabir Singh is now off to a great start at the ticket windows in India. The film, which is a remake of the Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy,  stars Kiara Advani in the lead as well. The intense love story has mostly received rave reviews from the critics all across and everyone on social media is only talking about Shahid's terrific performance in the movie. No wonder, Kabir Singh witnessed 50% occupancy during the morning shows which is the second best of the year after Salman Khan's BharatKabir Singh Movie Review: Shahid Kapoor Smashes His Way to a Career-Best Performance in This Problematic Love Story

Interestingly, Kabir Singh has got an amazing response outside metro cities which is very impressive. This means Sasha and Kiara's first collaboration is headed for a really good opening day figure. Talking about the occupancy, trade portal Boxofficeindia.com has reported, "Kabir Singh took an excellent opening of around 50% on its first morning and is the second biggest opening of the year in terms of occupancy. The film is that big lift that the industry needed and reassurance that there is an audience out there for films and its not just about holidays."

"The collections outside the metros are simply huge, the metros are also good but the likes of Surat, Indore, Bhopal, Jaipur, Ajmer, Latur are excellent and they could even be called bumper. For a Shahid Kapoor film, the collections are simply insane as you need big stars to open in these areas while Shahid Kapoor is more like a mini star." Well, in that case, all we can say is that the Kapoor lad is back with a bang in the box office race. Kabir Singh Advance Booking: Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani Starrer Garners Good Response

Also, since Kabir Singh has got a good response not just in metros and multiplexes but also in small towns and single screen theatres, the movie may just record the second biggest opening of the year. You never know, right peeps? While we'll get to know the first-day collection by tomorrow, Sandeep Vanga's directorial venture will definitely cross the Rs 50 crore mark over the opening weekend.
