Kabir Singh is a remake of the Telugu-language film Arjun Reddy that starred Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in the lead. Both the films have been directed Sandeep Vanga. The Hindi version starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in the lead released on June 21 and it has been well-received by the audience. In fact, many of them have even said that this film is Shahid’s career’s best performance and the results of it are been seen at the box office. On the opening day, Kabir Singh managed to mint Rs. 20.21 crore at the ticket windows. In fact it shattered the records of Shahid’s last film, Padmaavat. The Sandeep Vanga directorial has earned Rs. 22.71 crore on day two (Saturday, June 22). Though no major growth is seen in the collections, at least it did not drop from day one and managed to keep a steady growth.
