Quite a lovely day in Bollywood. We have two new movies opening in theatres, Chhapaak and Tanhaji. Plus, Salman Khan has announced his next film, after Radhe. Officially. He will be seen in a movie, directed by Farhad Samji, titled Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. And if all this is not enough to make the Bollywood fan in you twirl, then let us tell you that the announcement might have led to Akshay Kumar and Salman burying the hatchet. Akshay took no time to promote the upcoming film on his Twitter. He even cracked a friendly joke about.
Salman wrote, "Announcing my next film... KABHI EID KABHI DIWALI ....
STORY & PRODUCED BY SAJID NADIADWALA ...DIRECTED by FARHAD SAMJI... EID 2021 ... (sic)"
Akshay wrote, "Congratulations to my dear friends, Sajid Nadiadwala,
@BeingSalmanKhan and @farhad_samji on Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. Wishing you guys all the love and luck. Have a name suggestion as well for the sequel... Kabhi Eid Kabhi Christmas,"

Just in case you do not remember, Akshay and Salman almost averted a clash this year on Eid. Aksahy's film Sooryavanshi was supposed to release on Eid. But, soon, Salman announced a film, Inshallah, with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, which, too, was coming out on Eid. Salman requested director Rohit Shetty to move Sooryavanshi and he obliged. There were reports that this did not go down well with Akshay. He soon announced that his film, Laxmi Bomb will release on the festival instead.
Well, it was futile because Inshallah got shelved and a brand new clash was on the horizon. After the project was put on a backburner, Salman announced a new film, Radhe, for Eid. So, technically, Akki and Sallu were in for a clash again.
That is not all. In 2017, it was announced that Salman will co-produce Akshay Kumar starrer Kesari with Karan Johar. But after the announcement, before the movie could go on the floors, Salman parted ways from the project.
So, the latest tweet from Akshay for Salman is quite like an olive branch. Don't you think? The tweet also makes sense, since Farhad also directed Akshay's last film, Housefull 4.
