Last week, while Salman Khan's highly anticipated film Bharat released in India, Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil, on the other hand, made its way to China. Yes, the action thriller hit the screens on June 5 but got off to a poor start at the box office despite the fact that Junior Roshan is quite popular in China. In the first two days, the film minted Rs 9.09 crore which was quite disappointing. To ensure good opening weekend, Kaabil had to perform extremely well on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. However, that didn't happen and as a result, Sanjay Gupta's directorial venture is currently struggling to stay afloat at the China box office. According to BollywoodHungama, Hrithik and Yami starrer has clocked in Rs 29.24 crore in the first eight days and going by the trend, the film won't go too far at the China box office. While Kaabil had done really good business in India, it's sad that the film hasn't managed to replicate the same success in China. Last month, Sridevi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui's film Mom had also released in China and it immediately stormed the box office. In fact, the crime drama even entered the Rs 100 crore club and became the eight Indian film to do so. Later, Ishaan Khatter's debut film Beyond the Clouds also had a release in China but the critically acclaimed film couldn't impress the Chinese audience with its storyline.
