Vidyut Jammwal's latest release Junglee is surprisingly doing well at the ticket windows. Of course, the figures aren't extraordinary but they are still good considering the fact that the film failed to impress the critics and opened to not-so-great reviews on March 29. Directed by Hollywood filmmaker Chuck Russell, the action adventure movie also stars Pooja Sawant and Asha Bhat in the lead roles. Apart from Junglee, Salman Khan's production venture Notebook also arrived in theaters last Friday. However, the romantic drama couldn't get cash registers ringing at the box office. As for Vidyut starrer, it has managed to hold on well at the BO. Junglee Box Office Collection Day 6: Vidyut Jammwal's Action Adventure Film Mints Rs 19.70 Crore.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the popular micro-blogging site Twitter a while back and revealed the updated figures saying, "#Junglee finds favour in mass circuits... Week 1 is lower than expected... Trends lower than #Commando 2... Biz in Week 2 crucial for satisfactory results... Fri 3.35 cr, Sat 4.45 cr, Sun 6.05 cr, Mon 2.40 cr, Tue 1.90 cr, Wed 1.55 cr, Thu 1.50 cr. Total: ₹ 21.20 cr. India biz."

Further, Boxofficeindia.com stated, "The film has fared better in places like Bihar and CP Berar which have traditionally done better with films with animals in it. The figures are weak in Delhi and Punjab and its not only because of Kesari but this content also struggles in these areas. The film fetched a good 24 crore from satellite and digital so a 15-16 crore theatrical share will take it very close to recovery." Junglee Box Office Collection Day 5: Vidyut Jammwal's Film Is Struggling at the Ticket Windows, Rakes in Rs 18.15 Crore.

As for Notebook, the film starring Zaheer Iqbal and Pranutan Bahl in the lead fared poorly in its first week as it collected around Rs 5 crore.  In fact, the film will be out of most theaters by next week.
