Judgementall Hai Kya Box Office Collection Day 2: Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao Starrer Scores Big on the First Saturday, Expected to Perform Even Better on Sunday
Judgementall Hai Kya is Kangana's second release this year. Earlier, the actress tasted success with her period drama Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi which hit the screens in January. As for Rao, his last outing was Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga which failed to get cash registers ringing.
After garnering rave reviews from the critics and taking a decent opening at the domestic box office, Judgementall Hai Kya fared superbly on day 2 and the collections obviously went up quite considerably. Starring Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao in the lead, the quirky thriller stirred up a lot of excitement amongst the masses with its hatke storyline when its trailer hit the web. Since two powerhouse performers were coming together once again, the expectations were high from the film. And going by its box office performance, it's safe to say that Judgementall Hai Kya has lived up to all the hype to an extent at least till now. Talking about the figures, as per trade portal Boxofficeindia.com, Ekta Kapoor's latest production venture raked in Rs 7 crore on day 2, bringing its total two-day collection to Rs 11.50 crore which isn't bad at all. Considering its not a typical masala movie, Judgementali Hai Kya has done fairly good business at the ticket windows.
Further, the BOI report has stated, "Judgementall Hai Kya showed a good jump on Saturday as collections went up around 55% and this is the same trajectory as Article 15 released a few weeks back. But the Saturday growth just keeps the film in the race and it is about whether it can sustain on Monday. The 50% plus growth on Saturday was a must but the test will be how close can Monday get to its Friday number." While Ayushmann Khurrana's Article 15 turned out to be a hit in India, we'll get to know soon whether Kangana and Rajkummar's film will attain the same box office status or not. For now, the thriller seems to be well placed at the ticket windows.
