John Abraham starrer Romeo Akbar Walter aka RAW gets a positive nod from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The makers of the film were sceptical about the green signal as the CBFC had made its stand clear against shrill jingoistic films. The makers and the cast finally breathe relief as it is cleared with a ‘UA’ certificate. Only two verbal cuts were ordered. Romeo Akbar Walter is set against the backdrop of the India-Pakistan War of 1971. In the film, actor John Abraham plays the title role who works as an undercover agent for the Indian intelligence agency. Romeo Akbar Walter Trailer: John Abraham's Espionage Thriller as a RAW Agent Looks Gritty and Intriguing - Watch Video.

According to a report published in Bollywood Hungama, a source stated, “The CBFC members really liked the film. There was no objection to any political content. Although it is a cross-border espionage thriller the film does not indulge in any Paki-bashing.”

The CBFC has earlier stated and made it quite clear that it will not pass any shrill jingoistic films indulging in unnecessary hate-mongering.

RAW director Robby Grewal said, “We were asked to make just two audio cuts. We had to remove two cusswords which we happily did. There were no visual cuts at all.” Romeo Akbar Walter Teaser: John Abraham's Experiment With his Looks as a RAW Agent has Our Attention (Watch Video).

The movie is a real-life story of a patriot who served as a spy and if the actor is to believe, this was the most challenging role in his entire acting career. The movie is set in 1971 when India and Pakistan were on the verge of war and he was given a mission to extract crucial war information from their side. You will see him in eight different characters throughout this espionage thriller and John will play distinctive roles from an 85-year-old man to a 26-year-old youngster.
