The upcoming thriller Parmanu is caught in a really bad legal battle between its co-producers, John Abraham and Prernaa Arora's KriArj Entertainment. John Abraham's production house has terminated their agreement with KriArj, alleging non-payment of dues, while the latter accuses the former of not honouring their commitments and calling the termination invalid. Later KriArj's team filed an FIR at Khar police station against John Abraham for cheating, breach of trust, fraud, misappropriation of funds and copyright infringement.
Now John Abraham delivered a new punch to KriArj with a new poster that has no mention of the production house. Instead the poster only has the producers as JA Entertainment, which is John Abraham's production house.
John revealed the poster on his Insta timeline, with the caption, "The ultimate countdown to the mission begins. A thrilling journey of patriotism & pride launches on 4th May 2018. #1MonthToParmanu but a shocker drops your way tomorrow itself!" So that means the trailer will land tomorrow and the movie will release on May 4 come what may. He has also tagged fellow stars Diana Penty and Boman Irani and director Abhishek Sharma in the post.
We are wondering how KriArj will react this complete ignorance in the poster.
Meanwhile, in an earlier interview Prernaa had lashed out against John, as she said, “John Abraham pegged the budget of Parmanu at Rs 35 crore which was way too high for a film which had no stars except John Abraham, and even that (John’s stardom) is disputable. Anyway, of that 35 crore we’ve already paid John Rs 30 crore, Rs 3 crore will be paid on delivery. It’s just the remaining Rs 2 crore that we at KriArj have been pleading with Mr Abraham to forgo. But he is not willing to budge. Instead of understanding the economics of this project, he accuses me of not understanding the dynamics and economics of film production.”
John Abraham, meanwhile, insisted that would never cheat and rather be broke instead of doing such act. With the new poster and release date revealed, expect the battle to get more ugly.
