It has been long since Kabir Singh hit the screen, that gave Shahid Kapoor is first solo hit. The Sandeep Reddy directed flick hit the Rs 300 crore figure at the box office along with a massive amount of criticism attached to it. Shahid and his co-actress Kiara Advani are still answering the questions regarding the misogyny portrayed in the film. However, the actor is also ready with the next remake which is Jersey directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri who also helmed the original Telugu flick. After the reports of him getting injured went viral, there was a state of panic between his fans. A source was quoted saying by pinkvilla.com, "Shahid was playing perfectly fine and rehearsing before the shot when the ball unexpectedly came and hit him on the lower lip and cut open a wide gash where blood started gushing out!" He received many messages and concern notes from the fans post this.
The Haider actor has finally addressed all that through this tweet. He wrote, "Thank you for all the concern. Yes I have got a few stitches but am recovering fast. #jersey has taken a little bit of my blood but a script this good deserves that in the least. Have a good one you all. Keep it real. Well, now that's the father of two, taking method acting way too seriously! It won't be surprising if he comes out with another blockbuster in the form of Jersey. The film also stars Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapoor in the lead.
